Small engine fire issue

That's the chap who has been requesting help over on the Official MERCEDES-BENZ CLUB forum. He apparently imported it recently from the states and found he has bitten off more than he can chew. At present he trying to source an inlet manifold and twin carburettors for it which was, I assume the source of the fire . The thing that's going to mitigate against it in the UK is
1 Its LHD
and
2 Its a non runner.
So its a hard sell at that money except perhaps to someone with the need for a LHD donor car?

I used to have one if these and miss it dearly.

Whilst this one isn't for me, I wounder how easy it would be to covert it to RHD and source engine replacement parts?

Why, given how many sound RHD and LHD cars there are would you import a car with fire damage?
