Hi,
I'm currently switching some of my cars around and just putting this up here in case of interest to anyone who also shares my Ford passion.
The car is 1983 with 82k miles from new, still wearing original Ford and dealer stickers. I've owned this car since 2014 and the previous owner also had her stored for about 5 years prior to me acquiring the car.
Has all old mot's from 1986 onwards until put into storage about 12 years ago. Bodywork is mint, original panels and spot welds, and battery tray where most of these cars rot is spotless. Only rust is a small amount emerging under the sunroof on the roof rails - not bad for a near 40 years old car.
The car has the following options from new; - sunroof, electric windows, central locking.
She is original with the original radio still in place from new, original twin coil pack, and loads of old service history and original manuals etc.
Interior and seats are concours with no rips in the dash, which again many Mk3 escorts were bad for.
She's currently a bid dusty being stored for so long but comes up almost concours condition once fully polished.
Really just testing the waters, but would be looking for £17,500.
Also have a concours condition Mk4 XR3i Convertible from 1990 I am considering selling, one of the last of the mk4's, 2 owners with 18k miles and FSH up to 2010 when she was stored, if anyone is keen to find out more.
Thank you for your interest.
Doug
