1986 300 SL Indicator Stalk :(

My friends car is being completely renovated. It is done. It looks beautiful.... Chassis up. Really chuffed.

Except.

They broke the indicator stalk while working on the car!!!

Obviously being a classic parts are going to be harder to get hold of - but we cant find a replacement ANYWHERE

Do any of you guys have one or know where to get one

Would really appreciate any advice!

I wonder if the stalk on a 107 will be the same as on another model of roughly the same era ?

Possibly W123 , W116/126 , less likely but maybe W124 ?

I can look at EPC later .

Some of the specialist breakers like Mercman , Rob Parker , Dave Collins ( retrodave111 ) or slpagoda.com may be able to help .

The dealer will probably be able to supply a new one , but at what cost ?

Pretty sure they are specific to 107. If mercman doesn't have one I'll be very surprised.

Just under £100 for a brand new one from MB, hardly worth buying a second hand one that will look all worn out in a restored car.

If its the same as my car its part number A0055454224 but pls check with your dealer.
