Hi All,

Thanks again for the help with the previous question. My new question is: the donor engine I have got is a single camchain and my engine has a double. Can I change ove to a single camchain system and will the pump for the self leveling suspension still fit onto the front of the camshaft with the sing chain system. I guess this will be answered as I rebuild the engine, but I would be greatful of any advice.

Thanks
Zippy :)

This is where you come unstuck. Its not possible to make your donor engine a double link cam chain jobbie. Something about the crankshaft sprocket sticking out too far and fouling the timing chain cover.

just a quick question linked to this

what is the recc. mileage interval for chain change out ?

I am going to fix up my own engine

Looks like I am going to have to fix my own engine. I am going to take it apart next weekend and I wll post back with how I get on. The info might be useful to other members of the fourm.

Thanks for the advice
zippy :)
