Hi All

For reasons that will become clear later our family, me, my brother in law and Nephew are having a clear out of our "weekend" cars to make way for a new venture.

My Brother in law has a MB 230TE estate E -Reg 1988 which is in excellent condition inside and out Colour is metallic silver and it has the original alloys, low number of owners and just less than 100K on the clock, engine top end had been rebuilt including new cam , gaskets , valves etc and it runs sweet as a dream. Interior is mint no rips or wear but is cloth, box is 4 speed auto.

Question is what is it worth have looked at auto trader but nothing really to compare it to, nothing on cars and classics either.

Couple of pics below of it at one of our racing trips earlier this year, realise they are not brilliant quality but hopefully good enough for someone to give us an idea of what its worth. Thanks.

ideally you need to float it on eBay but my guess would be a few hundred quid - there's a nice F reg 230T for sale local to me and it's been driving around with a £500 ono poster in the window for the past two or three months.

I'd have thought somewhere between £500 and £1000 given the low mileage , few owners and generally good condition .

Nick Froome or Jay Manek would probably be in the best position to comment .

I can't see the pics from here, but somewhere in the high hundreds if it's a clean one (should be from the sound of it + the mileage etc).

Any 124 estate with some MOT and tax has to be worth a few hundred, so a clean one with no faults and low mileage has to be worth slightly more. I'd say it's got to be worth a grand to someone if it's a really nice one :)

Hi flanaia1,

It looks really similar to my 230TE.

I sold mine earlier in the year for £1150 - I'm not sure if the private plate swung it, but I'm pretty sure you could get £1000 for it without too much effort.

Advertising it on here might be worth a shot...

Where is it? (Actually don't tell me - I'd probably buy it)

Cheers,

Blondebier

Does it have working AC?

Ade

Not sure on thst one if it has AC it will definitely be working as are all the electrics and suspension on the car.

Will check and post back.
