Good points
All 4 jacking points welded and sills have been stonechipped
4 brand new Nexen tyres
Brand new blue Bosch battery (not in picture) cost over £100
All 6 glow plugs replaced this year
MOT until early 2017
No rust to rear subframe mounts
Underseal generally good, bodywork is straight
2 owners since new
Blue dashboard isn't cracked!
Towbar fitted
Bad points
Car has been standing so the paint is flat and pretty grimy
Car has been broken into so the passenger door lock barrel needs replacing (second hand lock barrel included), the ignition lock has been replaced but the trim around it needs fixing properly
Some wear to driver's seat bolster, it's a W124, no surprise there
Odds and sods of surface rust here and there but nothing too serious, all cosmetic, nothing catastrophic
Sunroof seized (lack of use most probably) but does not leak
Will need a good service plus I would hazard a guess at engine mounts, vacuum pump, ATF, aux belt and tensioner all overdue for replacement
Mileage is 211, 000 odd
The car is being sold due to failing health. I already have 2 W124s and I was very tempted to buy this myself as a parts car. However....it has MOT, it has a well maintained 603 engine with the mechanical pump and to me it is too good to break. It does need work but could be very sound and very useable, especially to somebody of the veg oil persuasion.
