I personally viewed this car for another member who has subsequently bought another car closer to home.

zender styling package, front bumper, rear bumper and rear wing, looks good, I'm no fan of the spoiler but as a package it's nice.

non-oem scorpion alarm with fobs, all appears to work ok. The factory fitted alarm would probably have been broken/disabled by now so this is a good thing.

first aid kit present (expired but it's a good sign that it's still there)

tool kit present, the cloth bag with the tools, also the jack etc is present

new exhaust apparently, looks like stock though

power aerial on nearside rear - motor works but the mast is broken so it doesn't extend

wheels are 17" ASA multi-piece (apparently expensive) spare is a 15" alloy. nakang (budget) tyres.

sunroof working and very quiet operation, saw it go backwards and forwards, tilt etc, looks fine, very smooth.

colour is monotone 199 pearl black (awesome)

heated and powered seats work, headrest switch top broken off on both sides but switch still works

bonnet catch/mechanism is broken, bonnet still opens but the little lever is hanging off for some reason

no aircon

windscreen wiper works perfectly, sweeps quickly and silently. headlamp wash works fine both sides but wiper dead on one side, motor runs on both sides so I suspect linkage or something else.

All windows work fine, mirror adjusts fine (driver's is manual adjust with lever)

bodywork all seems ok, slight line of rust on the edge of the front offside wing, this is one of the best examples of rust I've seen on a 124, it's not really taken hold yet and could probably be cheaply repaired by a bodyshop. Some key damage or something next to the driver's door on the rear quarter panel, this looks like it might either polish out or require a minor paint repair of some kind but it's practically microscopic so not disasterous. minute dent in grill frame but only visible in reflection, otherwise you'd not see it.

Interior looks clean and undamaged although suitably worn for the age and mileage, shift lever quite worn and steering wheel also worn as expected.

tax due to run out 31/10/05

paperwork seems to be valid but you should really check that yourself.

He took it for a drive with me in the car and the engine sounded lovely, auto was very smooth, no lurching or clunking or anything. Also quite fast :)

I have the VIN, the guy's phone number and a collection of pics I took if anyone needs them

Just want to say thanks to Shude for doing that for me, but unfourtunately its allways the way a car turned up that i purchased the same day, but i hope his description above can help someone find the car they looking for as i was struggling enough to find one, allthough ive now brought a **whisper bmw***

(il sign out shall i)

4 hours left chaps, zero bids so far! :)
