1990 W124 300 ce 24V - Original wheels

Quick double check, my car is currently fitted with the 8 hole Mercedes wheels but I've been told these are from the later series cars (although some adverts for K reg cars show these wheels)

The other thing that is making me think the wheels were changed by a previous owner is that the build sheet lists sports suspension and 15 hole wheels as an option.

So, is that correct or could the original owner have ordered the 15 hole ones and had these changed at the supplying dealer when new?

I have an early brochure for the 124 which whilst not conclusive would indicate that 15 hole were the "standard" alloys for the 124s that had them factory fitted but the 8 hole were optional (as were the AMG wheels). The 8 hole are much easier to keep clean! I think sport line models had wider but still 15 inch diameter alloys
