Help! When changing my windscreen wiper blade for a new one, I pulled the blade too far off the windscreen so the the bottom half of the wiper assembly locked outwards keeping the wiper blade off the windscreen. How do I get the wiper blade to lay flat on the windscreen again?

Help! When changing my windscreen wiper blade for a new one, I pulled the blade too far off the windscreen so the the bottom half of the wiper assembly locked outwards keeping the wiper blade off the windscreen. How do I get the wiper blade to lay flat on the windscreen again?

I found an enlightening video on wiper replacement ref: W20,W124 and W129 chassis by Mercedessource. Very knowledgeable chap - solved my problem. I've owned this vehicle for 17 years, but I hardly use it.

Oh no! They love to be used. And are the better for it.

Push it hard downwards. It feels horrible but its designed to do that.
