Hi

Just got hold of a 1991 300-24CE and when I put the chassis No into the Russian Website the build spec has come up with the following as the Model

"300-24 CE, AMG 300 3.4CE"

As far as I can tell there is nothing remotely AMG about it......any thoughts or is it just a glitch in the system?

Cheers

Vlad

Does it have two stickers on the rocer cover?

That`s strange, can you do a dyno test? You might get lucky on this one

No re the dyno. I suspect it's just a glitch on the Russian website.

Does it feel fast or like a regular 300CE?

That'll answer your question!

Probably a glitch, but you never know some conversions never had stickers etc or they may have been removed previously...

Hi Vlad Its just a heading. its an and/or situation, it doesnt mean you have an AMG.

Lots of cars come up like that on the Russian system. eg E320s often show as "E320 / E36AMG".

My W210 E36 shows as an E320 on the Russian site

I'm aware that its not an AMG, but I was just interested in why the description under "Model" came up with 3.4 AMG....I think the question has now been answered, so thanks to all.

Just put the vin of my estate today and it comes up
320TE / E320 /E36 AMG lol

It's an anomaly that surfaced over a year ago in the Russian VIN decoder.

Any M104-24V is indicated as an AMG :thumb:
