bought this little thing to keep me busy over the summer. Had a few in the past , last one being 7 years ago.

1992 Limited edition Rivage - Green, 165K

its been neglected, loads of owners who didnt have a clue by the looks of it , folder full of receipts for all the work done over the years by non-spcialist garages.

Bodywork is pretty good for the year, and has had paintwork in the past, some small rust bubbles on one wing other than that all good.
All electrics work as they should, roof is immaculate, electric windows, heated seats and electric roof all good, original wheels supplied albeit a little kerbed - these will get refurbed tho.

now the bad bits - most of which i pointed out to the seller to hit the correct price point :)
- brakes judder badly
- engine is pinking and has flat spots and has an oil leak
- clutch pedal sits too high
- leather interior is knackered - i personally think the original has been nicked at some point as the carpet is not the right color, steering wheel is not leather, handbrake leather cover missing leathers look like they have been sitting in the elements and are cracked and hard. Last thing that gave it away was the door cards had some BLUE overspray.
- interior mirror missing
- couple of bulbs blown in dash\switches
- coilovers which make the ride really hard.

all pretty minor DIY fixes really

i`ll keep this thread updated with its progress :)

first step is to clear the garage to make space for it.

so my first job this weekend was to sort the brakes out

Drove the car back 300 miles with the judder, almost undrivable!

Ordered some PAgid disks and pads from ECP

before

After

i did get a little stuck when i started the other side and was faced with this

together with a rounded odd top bolt on the pad carrier, hammered a slightly bigger torx and got it off though without too much trouble. Just shows the quality of the work by some of the past owners or garages they used.

judder now gone :)

I had forgotten about this thread, thought id better update it as its been a while, 7 years on and I still own the Mk1 Rivage, been through a few ups and downs with it running rough over the years but all that's sorted (for now). Its an easy car to work on but parts are getting hard to source.

Lots replaced over the years whilst I have had it,

- Standard Rivage wheels replaced - polished with lower profile tyres
- Fuel pumps (exterior and in-tank)
- All bushes replaced inc new wishbones
- Engine/gearbox mounts replaced
- renewed carpet underlay due to decaying with age
- Brakes replaced disk/pads/drums/brake pipes
- Fuel filler pipe replaced
- hoses renewed with new valves etc
- Injectors replaced
- WUR replaced with Porsche unit
- Cam belt/tensioners/covers replaced a few times now
- All locks/ignition replaced with Genuine set as door handles replaced over the years were on different keys
- Steering bushes replaced
- Coltech suspension extenders added to remove harsh ride
- ping dents all taken out , needs some paintwork still
- Seat sliders replaced
- window scraper replaced
- Boot lid lock seal replaced
- Dash bulbs changed to LED

sure I have forgotten loads over the years!

Still work in progress, needs some paintwork, needs interior tidying up(in progress), speakers need replacing and a few bits of trim,

here's a few updated pics
