1993 300TE wagon - How does the gas door operate?

This may seem like a silly question, but what is the procedure for opening the gas door on a 1993 300TE wagon?
I can't find any sort of release button or lever so what opens the gas door to add fuel to the car?

Just press on the door and it should pop open, unless the release actuator is duff. There is a manual release inside.

You just press on the forward end ( ahead of the hinge ) and it will swing open , there is no press latch like on some later models .

If it is locked shut , flip open the storage compartment inside the good , there is a manual release pull on the other side of the panel . It's in the handbook if you have it .
