The car passed its MOT today (2nd July) and passed with no advisories.

The car does not have road tax but i will include road tax if the buyer pays for it before i sign the car over.


This is my 1994 Mercedes-Benz E320 w124 Coupe.


I bought this in late June 2009 as a replacement for my current car which is identical but this one has a near mint interior and twin electric seats which mine does not have, but after a year ive still not used it and its currently SORN'd so im now selling it (and my other identical car) as i want a CL500.

The previous owner had 2 new front wings put on it and the original Mercedes-Benz 15" alloy wheels refurbished in 2009.

The registration plate CSV 212 is not included as it has been valued at £1,500 and is currently for sale for £1,100 on a car plate web site (not sure why they have my plate for sale as i did not ask them to sell it) but i want to keep it but i would consider selling it with the car for the right price.

Bad Points

Picture 9 - The bottom of the boot lid has rust, you can see in the picture that it not too bad.

Picture 10 - That is the passenger side rear arch, it was beginning to bubble so to get a better idea of its condition we picked some of the dirt/rust/paint off and its not bad at all (but if i was keeping the car id have it painted) its just surface rust so then ive used touch up paint and painted it blue/black with paint from mercedes just so you dont see the rusty bits.

Seems i cant edit it!

so i want £3,495 for the car on ebay & autotrader but without the plate (i want £500 for the plate)

but the norm is to offer it here for a better deal so for that price ill include the private plate but only to members who have been here a while as thats only fair

and i did not take the jaunty angled pictures so sorry if they make you feel sea sick

and yes it should have been cleaned before the pictures were taken

I had one person come and say he did not want the car as the hazards did not work

when he had gone i got my friend to check the fuses, it now works

amazes me how some people come to see a 16 year old car and expect every single thing to work first time

I had this for £2,300 on ebay and got an offer of £2,000

i cant see why this is not selling, right colour paint , right colour seats, all electrics, on average low mileage, 90% of its history

ive sold the plate off of this car (to a member here) and to get that done ive had to get it MOT'd & road taxed again

So its back up fort sale with 12 months MOT & 6 months tax

im now thinking about selling both of my w124 coupes (both 1994 blue/black with mushroom leather)

then again if no one wants one even less people will want two

the other one has the full factory AMG kit though, mmmmm AMG

ill take £2,222.22 and thats with 6 months road tax and 11 months mot ready to go

plate wont be CSV212 as im transferring that on sept 1st so will be a generic M redg

not sure if its a wind up but seriously £1,000 for the car with 11 months mot & 6 months tax!

the private plate has been sold and as this car was taken from northern ireland to mainland uk in 2001 the DVLA have re-issued me with a 2001 plate!
