1995 280e crank but no start

Hi all hope someone may be able to help

my 1995 280e , non carb , has been sitting for a could of months , battery was too low to crank so charged the battery , but now cranks over but won’t fire up .
Can hear the fuel pump prime , I’ve checked for spark but there is none , it is the type with the 3 coils under the cover on the rocker and no dizzy .
any ideas welcome thanks

RhCLK Hi . Well you have narrowed it down to no spark . But first it would help if you checked all your fuses .

Your E280 sounds like it may have suffered a wiring breakdown. Check the wires running from the coil packs back to the ECU, if you see signs of insulation cracking and falling away, try separating the cores and try starting again. Corrosion is also possible, at the ECU plug and the fuses, try giving them a clean. Good luck.
