1995 Mercedes Benz E320 Sportline Convertible - Damaged (Low Mileage)

I read somewhere that all 320 cabrios were sportline to some degree. I think this meant that they had the sportline suspension but not necessarily all the other bits like badges, steering wheel, sportline seats. Wish I could remember where. If there were only 78 then virtually all of them must have been for sale in the last few months.

No - the figures for Sportline variants is lower as it was an extra cost option on an already very expensive car. The adverts that you see on Ebay etc saying Sportline without badges etc are generally by people trying to pull a fast one. The Sportline option on the E320 consisted of badges on both front wings, different gearstick badge, sportline suspension and sportline wheels. You could also order the Sportline steering wheel which was slightly smaller.

I think you have misread the figures - there are currently 343 taxed E320 Cabriolets and 48 Sorned which gives a total of 391 E320 Cabriolets.
My guess would be that less than 30% of these are Sportline models. ie. 117 or less.

I have clicked on your links and understand how the information is displayed.
The first link you posted gave you a link for E320 Auto Cab which you can then click on to see a distribution graph of all the E320 cabriolets currently on the road.so you can see that for 1993 there are 40 licensed and 11 Sorned, 94 is 82 licensed and 34 sorned etc.
If you add al the figures up then the current licenced figure is 343 and the current sorned figure is 48. Hence a total of 391.
30% of 391 is ~117 which is my estimate of those cars that are Sportline.
These figures obviously only relate to the E320 cabriolet registered from 1993 to 1997. Some cars may have been registered as 320CE Cabriolet. To find these cars you need to search for 320CE cabriolet. When you do this search you find 74 from 93 which are licenced and 26 sorned plus 8 licenced from 1994 and 4 sorned.
