With heavy heart I am selling my 124. I've moved on to a 211 at the request of my family who want something with a more modern feel. I might regret this!

There is an ad here with more details:

The car is in Lingfield Surrey close to jct 6 M25.

Cherished 124 estate 7 seater in green-black with full black leather interior and walnut trim. I've loved owning this car for the last 5 years.

I've maintained and tended this car with a view to long term ownership and absolutely everything works as it should including the recently serviced aircon. Being a keen Mercedes fan, club member and forum poster I've enjoyed being part of the growing scene these cars are attracting.
The quality of these models really shines and this being one of the last made has a fine list of features offering virtually everything a modern car has but it in a timeless classic package; ABS, aircon, stereo aux-in, airbags, electric windows, outside temperature gauge, remote-locking, cruise control. The attention to detail in the design and sturdy build are of a quality simply not available any more new at any price.

Accessories to be supplied with the car.
- Genuine MB fitted hard plastic rear load liner
- Genuine MB roof bars
- Genuine MB rubber over-mats front and rear, the correct S124 items tailored to the shape of the footwells.
- Witter towbar flange mounted 4-cycle bike rack
- Fitted sun blinds to all windows rear of driver.

Aside regular services, I've invested over the years in maintaining and improving the car. It really is ready to roll on a continental trip or to a club meet - no jobs looming.

Some of the work done in my tenure:
2015 – new windscreen, cruise control professionally fitted and aircon service, both by vehvac. O/S Front wing rust repair and repaint

2014 – new alternator, refit rear load-space side windows to prevent leaks, replaced underbonnet insulation.

2013 – replace boot seal, replace tailgate gas struts, replace and paint front/rear bumper inserts, new N/S front wing, rear parking sensors fitted, front subframe bushes, front lower arms, front top mounts, front anti-roll bar and bushes, replace both fuel pumps, exhaust back box

2012 – new battery, fuel pump relay, v-belt, air-con re-commission (new condenser)

2010 – Wiring-loom done, new aerial, front shocks and top mounts replaced.

Extra treats:
- Professionally installed and painted rear parking sensors. The system has a visual display (discrete unit in the roof by the tailgate) and audible alerting. It’s very similar to the factory system in my wife’s 2010 Mercedes A-Class.
- The Mercedes Benz Audio 10 CD player now has an headphone plug aux-in (JVC-KS-IF200) so any mp3 player, ipod, iphone, ipad etc. can be connected. The cable is routed invisibly into the central cubby so nothing is on show.
- Rainbow front speakers, a higher quality (and expensive) drop-in replacement for the factory units which had got tired.
- Parrot CK-3100 bluetooth phone handsfree unit, discretely installed in the ashtray. Easy to access when a call comes in, but invisible at all other times.
- The car received a witter flange mounted towbar with twin electrics before I had it.

Deposit now taken.
