1996 C280 W202 I6 Auto - Oil Leak at the Rear of the Engine

So I have managed to get under the car and found this component connected to the rear of the gearbox is the cause of the leak. The part connected to the gearbox is clean but halfway up the body where the cream coloured plastic turns black there is ATF seeping out and dripping into a puddle.

I'm not sure what it is and whether it's a pain to change out.

Perhaps it can be cleaned up and covered with something to stop the leaking? I welcome any ideas/thoughts/recommendations on what to do before my drive is covered in ATF stains. Thanks all.

I suspect its the pipe for the transmission oil cooler. Not 100% certain though. Normally it fails just behind the front bumper where its exposed to the elements more.

this is at the rear of the gearbox on the nearside.
