1996 W202 Component Help Please

Hello all.

I have these that I want to install in my W202.

6.5 MB Quart Components
In-Phase 4 ch Amp
In Phase 4th Order 10 inch subwoofer
VIBE wiring

I plan to amp the front speakers, and sub. Delete the rear doors and maybe fade the rear shelf speakers (will replace with 6.5 inch coaxials).

I have searched the net for the last 2 days for details of how people have installed their crossovers.

Also, the plan is to use the car's OEM wiring ie AMP => front speaker wires @ ISO Plug => Crossover in doors => Woofer / Tweet.

My problem is that I'm sure the car has a crossover already, but where is it...also where can I hide my crossovers if the speakers can be accessed without removing the door card.

What are they for? Wouldn't a remap be neater?

I would assume the crossover is a simple cap between the woofer & tweeter. So look at the wiring between the two

Hey all.

I mean the car's original crossover. I want to use the original locations, which means I will fit my tweeters in the dashboard...

I am just wondering where to hide the MB Quart crossovers, and where I can tap into the wiring for the tweeters.

I mean the original crossover as well. Look at the feed to the tweeter - you'll probably find a cap in series with the tweeter right at the solder tag
