1998 C43 AMG Silver £2500
TAX end of May 2013
MOT till end of November 2013
172,115 miles
Selling as i have just bought a C43 Estate due to a new arrival and then need for more space! Idea was to mechanically sortlast year, then do cosmetic this year, when wether improved but family planning has changed all that.
Usual Spec plus factory fitted options:
Black leather interior
Xenons
Tilt Slide Glass Sunroof
Folding Door Mirrors
Illuminated Sun visor Mirrors
OEM AMG Spoiler.
Non Factory extras:
-Avantgarde grille
-Bury System8 Bluetooth kit, with Iphone cradle -the System will work with any phone as is, but will charge iPhone 4/4s. Bury make specific cradel's for many phones which you just click into the base unit.
BURY System 8 Cartalk Business Car Kit Cradles
-Sony Tune Tray head unit which has an iPod compartment behind facia.
-I had a secondary cat delete done by Magnaflow, adds a nice sound but not OTT, and still MOT compliant.
In the last 3000k the car has had the following workdone:
-New OEM discs and pads all round, new brake fluid. This is one of the big expenses on these cars as the front discs alone cost me £208 each. Handbrake re done as well.
-Breather Service
-New Fuel Filter
-New Draglink
-New Steering Dampner
-New air con condenser and gas recharge.
-All merc parts
-Full mechanical service by Klasse of Fulham mercedes specialists with car gone through and all fluids etc etc done as necessary.
i have probably spent nearly 3k on al this.
I am the 4th owner.
The car was traded in at Mercedes Reading by the original owner, and kept by one of their mechanics, who then sold it to another of their mechanics, who i bought it off after he had it for 3 years.
Good Points:
-High spec
-Interior in vgc
-Mechanically sorted, goes like stink and is solid mechanically.
-All electrics work, except for drivers headrest which is empramental.
-Alloys uncurbed
-Spare wheel, toolkit, and medikit all present
Bad Points
-Crack on windscreen, though it passed MOT with this.
-Some small rust on arches, and behind numberplate on boot.
-The orthopaedic seats work on both sides except for the side bolsters which inflate, but slowly loose air.
-Tires are a mismatch of budget items, not sure how much life left in them.
-The headrest on drivers side is temperamental.
-The spring on the boot opener has gone - i didnt even realise there was anything wrong until another member pointed this out! Boot still opens, just not fully when you press boot release.
-Not much history- i have a pile of it somewhere but cant find it, and wont pretend that i will in case i cant.
-One of the keys is temperamental, might just need a new battery.
-Has a couple of small dings.
Private Plate not included. Putting it on here first, when plate is swapped will go on usual places.
I love this car, its not perfect but its solid and with some cosmetic TLC great.
looked at a lot of stinkers before buying this one!
think its priced realistically, and have mentioned everything i can think off. have tried to show bodywork issues in photos.
Can be seen in Central London
