Hi All!
I've been searching through the threads on this forum for indicators of what might be wrong with my car. Have got a few pointers - thought I'll get some more suggestions from the guys in the know (you lot!).
I have a 1998 E240 Elegance petrol - 95k miles on it. When I start my car in the evening (after I've left it at the office multi storey car park for the day) sometimes it will cough a few times before starting. This used to happen once in a few months till last year. Of late however it has started doing this every once in 2-3 days!
Similar posts on this forum seem to suggest battery problem or starter motor or air filter (I had the car serviced recently). Is this something that an independent would be easily able to hone into. Are there any indicators that confirm whether it is one or the other?
