Anton Ostermeier built around 200 replicas in California in the eighties and nineties. From what I hear they are amongst the very best reproductions out there for workmanship and accuracy.

For a start they had no air conditioning and the windows could not be opened more than a crack due to the shape of the doors.

there is company in florida which built them brand new chevy engine lhd or rhd but rhd attract $25k premium, lhd is around $125k.

john travolta flew specially to look at one, the mould was made from original gull wing body to get shape perfect.
