Does anyone know the standard paint/body work warranty period on a 1998 W202 C180 please. I have a rust bubble I would like to get sorted. Does the car need a dealer service history for them to honour a paint claim?

Changed from 6 yrs to 30 yrs in 1998, so not sure on yours!

I think the change over date was either Oct or Nov 1998. My car was registered in March so my 6 year warranty has now run out 
Luckily I had warranty rust repair work carried out before the deadline.
It's still worth taking a trip to the dealer if you're out of the warranty period as MB might (I stress it's might) contribute a good will gesture for the rust repair.
