1998 w208 sam unit swap

Hi, my first post here.
My windows don't function correctly; a few other issues, not serious.
After swapping the window control units didn't change anything, I discovered the SAM.
And that it will not communicate with my carsoft V12 diagnostic system.

I can get a second hand one from ebay, cost is ok.

But will it work as is, or do these need to be programmed? Because that's not going to happen.
The listing includes the car it was taken from, but not details of accessories.
1998 clk230k, manual, history unknown.

Forgot to mention; I have checked the part number.
I've reset all the plugs.
I've checked all the fuses.

Hi,
My understanding of the SAM in the early 208, is that everything will work but there MAYBE certain options that wont communicate to the diagnostic socket, but will work, these type of options were the rare ones so the chances are you will have no issues, just make sure the replacement SAM is the same Pt.No.
