Here is my 1999 CLK after spending 2 weeks down at CKLCLIVE for restore work , the car was a hell of a mess but now looks new!
i cant reccomend clive enough great guy and takes lots of pride in his work , and his prices are second to none!
just get here new alloys and boots fitted today as well so here it is start to finish ......

The leather and interior was really bad to , so spent a few hrs with bilt hambers surfex degreaser and a nail brush !

So many thanks to Clive for his amazing work , pity i am going away again and cant fully enjoy the car ;(

You need a chrome exhaust tip also :)

I see that the rust areas are common for CLKs of that age, unfortunately.

Was that a full respray on the exterior, except for the roof?
 
yes full respray apart from roof ;)
 
well done clive, and what a lovely job...also good job on the interior mate.
 
Looks fantastic indeed - Interested to know the ballpark price of such a job.

CLKClive.... just a quickie, after all the spraying is done I assume you stll have to machine polish it all to get rid of any minor imperfections.

With the other thread raging about detailing and such, what technique/products do you use to compound the paint and provide the final finish?
 
Looks fantasic - and enjoyed the thread which gives all of us with rusting cars some hope at least.
