1999 clk320 clk430 front weights

Hi all,

Could anyone maybe help me a little , is there much difference in the front end weights with the clk320 & clk430 ?

Just I've been looking on buying h&r springs, ebay says the 320 & 430 spring are compatible . Would this be right ?

Well , I've had both and the 430 feels a much more 'solid' drive and car than the 320.

It's hard to describe , but it just feels more planted.

I would imagine the v8 weighs a bit more than the v6

I have to totally agree. I found a other site selling h&r springs, a set for the 320 would cost around £160 and the 430 around £240 .

I have heard of some people just fitting the 320 spring though

The 320 has around 20 different sprung weights of springs. MB match the springs according to whats fitted to the car, so I doubt 430 and 320 are the same spring seeing as the 320 isnt the same as a 320 (if you follow me)

Different car I know but my e280cdi has 6 different front springs to choose from in mb dealers the oem springs are colour coded to suit what accessories/pack your car has fitted at factory
