ok basically can any of my learned colleagues tell me if the aforesaid vehicle has any known weaknesses in its design ,that I should look out for .
is it reliable and also can anyone enlighten me as to what the strange knurled plastic screw with a crescent shaped plastic window is on the side of the air filter box is? it does not move when I tried to turn it ? what is its role ?

Hi
Did you find out what this is for ? I have the same and don't know either, perhaps one of our learned MB Specialist can enlighten us please

hi bazzer yes I did I googled airbox e320 and found out it is a indicator to let you know when filter needs changing ,apparently the more the filter gets blocked the more red shows and when its fully red it means your filter is blocked , assuming it works? and the screw is to reset it when you have fitted a new filter?

It just tells how clogged up your airfilter is...in percentages.
