Hi there. E300 1999 W210 diesel. My battery was flat so went to jump start. Nothing unusual there. I used the key manually to open the door to get bonnet opened. But the key fob won’t do anything. The immobiliser seems to be on permanently as the key won’t click into the ignition. I’ve changed the batteries in the key but still no joy. Anyone any suggestions. Cheers

The starting function is down to the coil in the key. These can be replaced if it has broken but seeing as it worked before the flat battery, it's possible the ESL is playing up or has failed. If you don't have a 38 pin code reader, try disconnecting the battery for about 10 mins and try again

Hello. My key fob won’t disarm the immobiliser or open the doors. I’ve changed the batteries but no joy. Also checked all the fuses. Anyone any other things I could try. Cheers
