1999 E55 amg, £1k

I have been offered a 99 e55amg for £1000, it's tidy enough, bit scabby on the back arches, seems to drive well, 160k full mercedes history and 1 owner till 140k and specialist after. 1 year mot.

So what are these like? very tempted as a cheap run about...suppose if it breaks I can bin it

I'd say if it runs/drives ok and has no major faults it would be worth about double that. Year's MOT is a bonus

What are they like? Well it's a 5.4 AMG V8, but in a heavier car than your C63. 500+Nm of torque though so they still pull well. A lot of 'bang for your buck'. W210 is more roomy obviously and they normally ride well

I'm sure if you don't want it someone else would - I'd give you £1k + a decent drink on top for it

Even if you got 6 months out of it and threw it away it would be worth it - and the bits on it alone must be worth a good chunk of that - more if running well.

Big Engined cars are worth Jack over in Ireland so price is not as good as you may think unless 'Irish Boy' exports it or the parts.
