1999 SL Air Con Display

Hi There

99(R129) SL320

Air con control display is faulty. I think it's a common problem caused by the LCD ribbon failure. Does anybody know if this is a DIY fix and where can you get the ribbon.

Also when you cycle through the air direction switch. The arrow points up and down but skips the middle direction....Is this right??

I think you'll find that it is a dry solder issue that can indeed be fixed with a steady soldring iron.

I'm sure there's a how to on this somewhere.
