Hi there,
My dad has been having problems with the automatic transmission in his E240 so he took it into the independent garage by his workplace. They didn't give him the code but told him that the description said "Control unit showing a fault on internal unit". Which I'm thinking means the speed sensors on the conductor plate but would like to see what the helpful people on here think.
This is my dad's description of the problem:
"when putting the lever into "R" or "D" it goes in with a clunk. No response from gears 1 to 4 with the lever"
I would really like to fix this for him as it's difficult for him to visit my nan in hospital.
Many thanks in advance to a great team
