Only drawback is it's fitted with an Audio 10 radio/cassette and a 6(?) cd change in the glovebox.

Thinking of upgrading to a Command so I can play MP3 CD's

Question is what version do I need to look for ?
And what else do I require to fit it?

Very Nice car! :)

I think mp3 compatability starts with the cd changer...

Nice car, would look good with COMAND :D

The unit you need is COMAND 2.0 for a W203/W209. There are quite a few different COMAND 2.0.

Alfie (comand.co.uk) is certainly the best bet.

Welcome to the forum. Nice car. :D

Hi Ken,
Nice car.

You need a comand 2, GPS Antanne and a map CD.
You will also require a wirling loom.

Any A203 Comand 2 will work, but the best one is A203 827 52 42
Installation is relatively straight forward, and unlike the W208 CLK the speed pulse comes over the canbus.

Regards,

Alex.

Hello and welcome to the forum, you got yourself a nice car there with a good sounding spec. Comand will be a nice touch although I believe its the CD changer that will be playing the MP3 CD's

That'll be post #3 then... :D :D

Thanks about the command part no.

what about the CD Changer, is there a recommended one ?

The other option is to have the Mercedes i-pod kit fitted. I have this plus the 6cd changer and it gives the best of all worlds IMO.

The real problem is the Cassette, just something about it, in a car like this, looks wrong.
