'86 w123 230e...
how does everybody do the classic/2nd car insurance thing?

morning all.

I've got a little clio 172 and about to collect a w123 230e saloon. Aiming at 4000 miles in each per year. What/how best to insure them for the daily commute/weekend thing?

many thanks.

Steven

Hi there MrG

I have a 280CE as a weekend / spannering car.
Located in West London and parked on the street.

I checked :
  • comparative quote websites. Cheapest search rates was £400/year FC with unknown companies which escalated to £1,500 upwards upon further enquiry
  • existing insurer Direct Line was £800 FC.

Ended up with an Aidrian Flux (my motorcycle insurer) classic policy at £300 fully comp, 3000 mile / year with wife as named driver.

Cheers

Please feel free to give us a try if you like. If you wanted to PM me your details I'd be happy to arrange for one of my quotes team to give you a call back.

Dan.
