20 years later

After nearly 2 decades away (2006) I'm also back. Bobby Dazzler I certainly recognise your user name.
Life changes, cars change. I used to have a W203 C32 AMG that we had to sell as we moved house and it was causing massive fuel bills to work at not very many MGP at all.
Child came along and we needed a bigger car. Ended up with a BMW 525d that was an ex Met Armed Response car. It went will for a diesel !

We also had a BMW 120d (2004) that we let go last week as it had more in common with the Titanic underneath. At some point it would massively fail and MOT in an irreparable manor.
We now have a 2019 X156 GLA to replace the 120d that Mrs BS will use.

I sold the Pug 205 hillclimb car, but it's still competing in new hands :-)
I no longer compete, but have changed racing shoes a more official role, now being a MotorSport UK Clerk of Course in Speed events.
Mrs BS wasn't happy with me charging around in competition cars and on a Motorbike when we had a young child. (Who is now 14 !!)

I came here from the other Merc forum which I joined to sort out some issues with our first model. A ‘98 C180 Elegance.

I accidentally joined this one a year or so later thinking it was the other one.

This forum lead me in the direction of a specialist in west London somewhere to resolve a key issue and another Indy up north called Ian to service the car before we took it to Skiathos in 2007.

I joined in feb 2005 I though I joined when I got my first MB in 2004.
I too got mixed up with the other forum and to me both forums looked alike
I forgot the chap's name and he has been mentioned here - he was a helpful guy.
Sadly, he passed away a few years ago.
Within a few months of me posting on both uk forums, I stuck with this one.
BD is one of the several names I recognise instantly here and IMO, and I often read his posts about his cars
and lifestyle as it sounds interesting and a good, relaxed lifestyle.

Welcome back. Think we met at one of the North GTG events. Maybe at Jay's place too?
