if my voltage regulator reads 14.10 at peak does this mean its stuffed will this cause a no crank no start no gear display stuck in park also battery drained over a couple weeks

Your problem could be battery ,alternator, earth strap related or one of several electronic modules DAS drive authorisation system EIS electronic ignition, gear select module, key itself. You need to get the car on a diagnostic system such as MB Star to get the fault codes read.

i had a diagnostics done but he wasnt getting a reading
im hoping another comes today thanks grober

update the diagnostic shows 2 faults the guy said its a spring in the electric start ignition and the brake lock he said its a plastic part behind the pedal that brakes i think it maybe the one to the shifter but still not sure weather he just said this.would these be right just dont want to buy parts on parts

pulled my ignition out found the shifter cable was joined tryed freeing my transmission with it to no avail it works though maybe it was a coincidence my ignition and shifter module faulted i did have an issue with the battery a few days earlier

You don't seem to have much faith in the guy doing your diagnostic? Its essential with complex electronic systems to trust the fault codes you get- its that or get another diagnosis guy?- who will probably tell you the same thing. the brake switch and EIS are both known failure items -- the brake switch is relatively cheap--- i would renew that first and see if there's any improvement?
