I'm looking for a backbox for my 210 E320 CDI estate. It's the barrel type that is slung horizontally along the back.
The usual problem of a broken bracket off the backbox means it can't be attached.
Presently it's held up to the exhaust shield (with extra washers under the bolts holding the heat shield to the car) with steel wire.
It hangs there happily and got through the MOT for the last owner on the day I bought the car.
But it wants sorting!
Welding is an option but the box is starting to unravel anyway.
I'm in Bedford and I'm looking for a secondhand backbox or ideas on an adaptation that isn't over £50.00 and will pass the MOT.
