2000 mercedes e320 cdi t silver

Was it really that bad?
 
Ok may be not the wosrt to drive but not far from it.

The glow light didn't turn off, apparently for the year he had the car it's been like this. The car won't kick down or rev past 2000rpm, even if held in gear using tip. There was a whining noise from the engine which was turbo/intercooler related. And the PDC didn't work. The Ac was cold but the fan speed was going from zero to full randomly, blower motor regulator.

Then the bodywork, every panel bar the roof had been painted, but all in different shades of silver and a lot of it using aerosol cans. The front bumper being the worst, the drivers side under the haedlamp had cracked. The repair was a load of filler and painted using an aerosol without masking the fog lamp or grills. The fog lamp and small grill are both silver and half the larger grill too.
