2001, CLK 320 Left indicator wont stop

My wifes CLK indicator is constantly flashing on the left hand side.
Right indicator works OK but as soon as stalk is returned to the neutral position the left indicator licks in.

Any ideas as to whether relay or stalk is at fault much appreciated.

Cheers,
Chris

OK, does anyone know where the indicator relay is located so I can at least check that first?

I dont know if it will be any help but my 2000 CLK 230 did the same thing last year. With mine the cause was water getting into the body control unit which was situated under the fuse box at the back of the engine bay.

Thanks for that, the problem did start on Friday when we had heavy rain fall.
I`ll check that out in the morning for any evidence of water.

Cheers

No worries, I hope it helps :)

Becareful of the seat ecu that's a common problem ! Too

Well no water contamination evident but worth the look, thanks for the advice Dand.
Sorry bit confused about relevance of seat ecu but thanks for the heads up.

Does anyone know where the flasher relay/controller is located for a 2001 CLK

Thanks,

Chris
