Because of my E55 my father is looking at merc range - He's seen a 2002 CLK 500 with 160k on for £5,200 - Full MB service history, new pads and discs + 2 set of MB wheels - summer & winter. - Car is apparently unmarked ( I've not seen it but sure I'll find something ) - He'll be doing about 5k a year with it.

What are the good and bad bits on these please ? - thx

Hi,being a 2002 car check the car carefully for signs of rust as it won't be galvernised(especially the arches & around the boot lock)also make sure the atf & filter have been changed as at 160k it should have been done about 3 at that mileage.Check when the spark plugs are due(around every 40k from memory)as they will be £300+.The original 5ltr v8 engine in that car are well proven solid units as is the 5 speed autobox.
