I have a 2002 ML320 and cannot work out why I have this particular problem.........
During the daytime I can see the mileage and clock LCD display light up, even if I have the exterior lights turned on, the LCD displays still light up...........However, once night time comes and I turn my exterior lights on I get no lights on the clocks (Speedo and rev counter etc) and no LCD lighting up for mileage and clock. Its a pain because at night I cannot see how fast I am going. I hope this makes sense to someone, just to reiterate....At night time when I put the exterior lights of the car on I get no lighting up of the dials or LCD displays.
