About 2 weeks ago, I purchased a 2002 ML 320 from a trader in Birmingham. I drove the car back to Swansea in torrential rain with, I thought, no issues. On checking the car the following day, I found that none of the brake lights or front sidelights were working. My fault I know, but the car was mot'd the week before with no advisories.
Knowing absolutely nothing about electrics and having heard horror stories about AAM's. I took the car in to our local Mercedes independent. They worked through everything and found and fixed what turned out to be corroded wiring into what I think they said was the main control module.
So a big thank you to SK Automotive of Swansea who stuck at it, found and fixed the problem and charged me a pittance.
