Hi all.

I've decided to tackle my problems one at a a time instead of a huge list. Seems to be counter productive.

My motor was a Frankenstein Mobile. In the last week I've figured most of what has happened, but it's still not fixed completely, if at all.

The Instrument panel was butchered so that the EDC ABS and EBV lights were out. I've bought new clocks yesterday.

My main question today is this:

Will error code P1622 (Y75) cause Limp Mode?

I now understand that the Switchover Valve (Y75) is part of the Immobiliser circuit that cuts fuel to the pump in case of attmpted theft, using wrong transponder key, for instance.

So, to reiterate, will this Cause Limp Mode?

If I can get a guaranteed Yes, i'll move on to the next symptom.

It should be Noted that this Y75 Valve is not attached but cable tied up, but is still connected to the circuit.

Thanks.

This is merely deductive reasoning on my part but if Y75 immobiliser circuit CUTS fuel in case of attempted theft, would it not stop, or more accurately, not provide fuel at all rather than cause an electronic restriction to the engine which limp mode is. i.e. no fuel rather than a little fuel?

Only a 'guess' and willing to be corrected.

My mistake Giantvanman.

It seems error code p1622 Y75 refers to the vacuum solenoid turbo actuator. However error code p1622 refers to fuel shut off valve. This valve is actually hanging on the van not connected other than by wiring connector. My worry is that there is something up with the van so they disconnected the fuel shut off valve and plugged the fuel feed directly into the high pressure pump. If I connect it back up it may activate and shut off fuel supply lol. But it's a better starting point I guess.
