So, £17K for an '03 E55K saloon with 41k miles which stood unused for five years? Even if it is truly immaculate, to me that seems too much to pay.

Very low spec car with only a glass sunroof and heated front seats. As noted, not OEM E55 wheels .
I'd be a little concerned at the lack of use, given the mileage and the asking price is very optimistic IMHO. Not that I think they are better, but that is E63 money.
The fact it is owned by a "celebrity" is neither here nor there. Sure doesn't make the car worth a penny more.
