2003 Eclass abs pump

hi all I have a problem if you could help please I had a white service brakes visit work shop light come on went to a mechanic he put it on his snapon computer and said brake fluid needs changing so had it done but he cant reset the computer tried 4 times and he is saying that the pump needs to
be changed as it has a service life and this is why the computer cant be cleared any help on this please

Are you sure he wasn't referring to the SBC pump?
