Hi
had a chat with a merc specialist today regarding the on going problems with my car.
He suggested that I check out the vacuum control system for the EGR valve and turbo actuator.
My car is fine until it operates one of the above, so either the vacuum itself is collapsing when its asked to supply vacuum to operate stuffs, or the vacuum valves themselves are not working correctly (very common failure apparently)
The EGR valve I can eliminate by fitting the EGR delete mod, and then blanking off the vacuum valve. The turbo VNT control valve - not sure what to do with this - maybe replace it? Is there anyway of testing this by observation when revving the engine and looking at what is going on?
