2003 sl500 Mirror switch assembly

It is the half-moon shaped bit that has the mirror switch rocker and about 5 separate other switches round it.

Anybody got one or know a breaker who has one? My mirrors have been adjusted to suit a dwarf and I can't see anything except the kerb.

...although I now have to doubt their skills in reading diagrams (or tying shoelaces or organising a p155-up in a brewery)

I'd buy a new one if I could find someone who could work out a part number for it.

I never had this trouble when I ran our Morris Minor as my everyday transport. The switches never break and if they did somehow fail, they all have the same part number!!! 57 years old and the Minor still performs well. It has only broken down once in 6 years and that was only because I put a new "Bosch" fuel pump on it in order to improve the reliability. Lesson learned? Leave it all alone!

I've had a rethink on the part number. It definitely IS 230 821 59 51 / 7167 and it includes the roof switch assembly.

I have a brand new one you can have for £100.00 inc postage.

Billy has your new one got the silver roof opening lever/flap or the black one ? And does it have all the buttons present (different specs have different button sets, the mid life facelift made the lever silver instead of black)

If silver with all 5 buttons, i'll have it !

If you have the distronic switch set from the left, or the distronic controller & brackets & loom at sensible prices (I have the grille and radar horn) let us know about those
