2003 W203 front ashtray

I was wondering if you can replace the front console ashtray in a W203 with one that has the 12v socket?

Im looking at one of the above style ashtrays on ebay and it looks very similar to the non socket ashtray?

Has anyone done this or was it an option for the pre facelift W203
