2003 W209 Electric steering wheel adjustment.

The electric up and down adjustment on my steering wheel has stopped working. I can here a click when I push the control but no movement. The in and out movement is fine.
Does this sound like a burned out motor to anyone? Does anyone know how to get to it?

they do stick, try banging on the wheel while you operate the control lever, write hard if need be. They often stick if the driver uses the wheel to pull themselves out of the car, not saying you've done that though! A few sharp bangs should free it.

These have plastic/nylon gears don't they,that could be the problem,all to often if the give it a bash suggestion by Toeknee does not work then it needs to go on star to work out what bit is not working.
