2003 W211 E270 Estate - radio / telephone / bluetooth

Hi everyone...

I have just chopped in a 2003 C220Cdi saloon for a 2003 E270 Avantgarde estate...

I have an iPhone 6.

There is no connection in the central armrest for a telephone or bluetooth connection, so my question is simple... what do I need to connect my phone by BT and be able to use the steering wheel controls and built-in microphone/speakers as the makers intended?

Nothing at all in the glovebox... My stereo has a single CD slot, so hasn't got multi-changer, either...

Hmmm, I dont think I can be of much help.

Mine has user interface in the glovebox, which i plug a cable into. I am sure someone with much better knowledge than me will be along shortly!

I never got round to fitting the bluetooth gear to either of my C classes... but add-on BT speaker things just drive me round the bend...

Done what? The factory fit or aftermarket?

My 2005 211 had the factory fit. You have one of these in the central cubby.

2003 car - doesn't have the plug-in thingy... I need to know what to buy to be able to wire in a plug-in - or alternatively how to update the Audio20 radio to something a little more modern, so I can have bluetooth for the phone (and perhaps Sat Nav too...)

I believe these things came in, during the life of the W211 series but my car is too old and only Avantgarde spec...

Does anyone know whether it's possible to add bluetooth functionality (with steering-wheel controls) easily, or do I need to retro-fit and NTG2.5 headunit to be able to do this? The added SatNav would be useful but it's a little costly, at close to £800...

FWIW mine was a 2005 211 Avantgarde with COMAND and phone pre-wire.

Best place to get a proper answer is COMAND Online.

They do this sort of thing all the time.
