Quaife Limited Slip Differential fitted in 2014 by Eurocharged UK (receipt for over £1k)

Digital LPG Bi-fuel system - fitted in 2014, all installation certificates/paperwork included and recently serviced with new filters. It saves an enormous amount on fuel costs and the car runs perfectly on gas - you would struggle to notice any difference driving in the real world, but can switch over to unleaded at the push of a button. It has run faultlessly on both LPG and petrol for over 4 years/40k miles now. Receipts for installation and recent service total circa £2k. Tank is mounted in spare wheel wheel so no loss of boot space, filler is under the rear bumper so no holes in the bodywork. It just works seamlessly!

Other than the above the car has no modifications whatsoever - I know people tune these but personally I find the standard 476hp 5.4 AMG Kompressor engine more than enough in the real world - they’re still quick comfortable and practical cars today.

All four of the air suspension struts have been replaced in recent years which is a bonus on one of these - I’ve had two W211 E55s and both needed new struts around 80-120k so something to bear in mind when looking at others for sale.

This car sits level, rides smoothly and raises/lowers exactly as it should with no warning lights. It never sinks when parked either. No issues with SBC or anything else that I’m aware of either. It’s just been MOT’d for another year so valid until June 2019. Registration is LJ04 UFX if you want to carry out any checks - the only advisory was for the the parking brake efficiency, but it didn’t fail - I’m guessing it needs adjustment soon or using more often.

In the 2.5 years that I’ve owned the car I’ve had it serviced at Mercedes-Benz of Guildford (August 2017, 2k miles ago), had an air con service and gearbox ATF filter/fluid change at an MB specialist (PCS in Horndean), have had all four wheels fully refurbished inside/out and a new set of Continental ‘MO’ spec Sport Contact 3 tyres which are still like new (6-7mm tread) plus a new genuine MB battery. All paperwork/receipts are present along with a full and up to date service book.

The car has been 100% reliable and very practical for us. I’ve decided to upgrade the family car and have just bought a newer E-class AMG Estate, a 212 E63.

Faults that I aware of:

1) TPMS (tyre pressure monitor) is not activated. I had the sensors replaced when the wheels were refurbished but for some reason it hasn’t re-activated - will need looking at/setting up, I haven’t got around to it.

2) Some of the keyless door handles will need replacing - the keyless stop/start, tailgate lock/unlock are all working fine as are the locking buttons on the driver’s side. I do have some working replacement handles to fit but they will need colour coding (painting) first. You can obviously still use the remote keys to lock/unlock as usual so no issue there - you still have the keyless go function obviously. I have both fully working remote keys though which is a bonus as these are expensive to replace.

3) Finally the air conditioning needs looking at - it was regassed last summer and was ice cold at the time but isn’t blowing cold now so probably needs has a slight leak somewhere which will need sorting out and recharging again.

This is a very nicely specced car with excellent bodywork/interior for the age/mileage and has been well maintained. Low ownership, full history, LPG system is a real bonus too. I’ve owned two of these and have seen plenty others, despite the mileage it’s a good clean car and doesn’t burn a drop of oil or water. The previous owner covered circa 40k in two years so that shows you the sort of journeys it’s been used on, mostly motorways and longer trips. It’s obviously 14 years old now so don’t expect a new car but it’s solid and reliable and in my opinion in good condition for its age. I’m only selling it after 2 1/2 years as I’ve bought a new car - another E-class AMG (S212 E63 Estate).

Sensible offers are welcomed but I genuinely don’t think you’ll find a nicer E55K estate for less money, and there’s very few for sale (I can only find one on autotrader, for £18k (with lower mileage).

Cheaper tax bracket too - being pre 2006 it’s £240 less per year than other cars of this type (my new one is £555 vs £305 for this)

I’m looking for £10,995. Car is located in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey - close to the A3/M3/M25. Any questions or viewings welcomed.

Okay so finally had a chance to get the car cleaned and take some photos, warts and all. There's obviously some signs of use as this is/was a family car but IMHO for the age/mileage it scrubs up well - nothing major, a few light marks on one wheel (NSF) and the inevitable stone chips/light marks in places.

Will be getting some adverts prepped for the usual sites later on as the new car should be here any day now.

Any questions please drop me a PM.

Thanks,

Will
