Just noticed near side is not sitting as close / tight in to the rear pillar as the offside near top edge of glass. Just had a paint repair around underside of tailgate release + new grab handle which meant internal trim removed / refitted.

Tailgate panel that carries badge is flush with rear edge of pillar on near side whereas the offside pillar rear edge is slightly higher than the panel. We are only talking 2-3 mm.

Bottom edge of tailgate seems slightly higher from top of bumper on near side too.

Can see no obvious movement on the hinges etc.

Almost like it needs "pulling down & in a bit more" on the nearside.

    Any suggestions please?

    Regards

There should be two adjustable rubber stops near the bottom of the
tailgate recess(one each side),try them, they just turn in or out.

    Thanks martyz.

There is a black, "rubber" block each side - about 5 inches from bottom but they are nearly as wide as the channel they are sitting in so they would not turn?
